Created by recognized experts in economics, the objective of the IRÉC is to support and encourage research in general, political, and third-sector economics. We are looking for a better definition of the role that should be played by the different economic actors - both local and global.

The Institute hopes to provoke critical thinking and initiate debates regarding the effects of new socio-economic realities on our societies - Quebec society in particular - and the citizens of those societies. The Internet seems to be the appropriate medium for diffusing articles, studies, and other works to reach our goals.

Please consult the different sections of our site, and in particular our electronic repertory of economics-related doctoral and master's theses. We have created it to meet the need for this type of tool on the Web, but also to provide an additional way for students to see their work published.
