The heart of the Institute, research, is centred on the ideas and objectives that led to the creation of the IRÉC.

The balance between collective and private action
Markets and society
Globalization and development
Local and international decision-making centres
Creation and distribution of wealth
Analytical and measuring instruments

Through financing, diffusing, and publicizing IRÉC studies and other similar research, the IRÉC will participate in contemporary economic debates to clarify the issues and orient them towards improved economic conditions for individuals as well as for collectivities.
